Terms of service
What you are buying, what we owe you, and the handful of things that will end the arrangement.
Draft for review. This policy was written to match how AcePilot actually behaves, but it has not been reviewed by counsel. Have a lawyer read it before you rely on it.
1. The agreement
These terms are between you and AceTalk ("we", "us"), the maker of AcePilot. Using the software means accepting them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may bind it.
2. What your licence covers
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install AcePilot on devices you control, with one device signed in at a time — signing in elsewhere moves the licence to that machine. The licence is for you: sharing an account, reselling access, or running it on behalf of other candidates is not permitted.
Monthly renews every month until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next charge without refunding the current period. Lifetime is a single payment ($117, or ₹9,999 in India) that covers the product, including future updates, for as long as AcePilot exists as a product — not a promise of perpetual server operation beyond the life of the company.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; the period you have already paid for runs to its end. Lifetime is a single payment and is not billed again.
We do not offer a general money-back guarantee. Nothing in these terms removes the statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights you may have as a consumer where you live — in the UK and EU in particular, those rights apply to digital purchases and we will honour them. If you think you have such a right, email billing@acepilot.cloud and we will deal with it properly.
4. Acceptable use
Your use is governed by the acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: it works from your own experience, you must follow the rules of any process you take part in, and you may not use it to impersonate someone else.
5. Your content
Your resume, job descriptions and transcripts remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you — to transcribe, to generate answers, and to show you a debrief. That licence ends when you delete the content. We do not train on it. See the privacy policy.
6. What we do not promise
AcePilot is a preparation and recall tool. We do not guarantee any outcome — not an offer, not a passing score, not a callback. We also cannot guarantee that a particular platform will behave the same way after its next update, though invisibility on Zoom, Teams, Meet and Webex is something we test continuously and will fix as a priority if it breaks.
The software is provided "as is" to the maximum extent the law allows. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, and nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a job you did not get. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop at any time; cancelling monthly ends the renewal, and deleting your account erases your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches the acceptable use policy, charges back a legitimate payment, or attempts to circumvent the device limit. Where a suspension is our call and not the result of clear abuse, we will refund the unused portion.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least thirty days before they take effect, and continuing to use AcePilot after that is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, cancel and — on lifetime licences bought within the previous year — ask us for a pro-rata refund.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which AceTalk is established, and its courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
